What are golf joggers?
Golf joggers are best described as a sports dress pant. They are typically fashioned from the same breathable, polyester-type fabric as regular golf pants, with the only real difference being they are cuffed at the ankles to provide a more fitted look.
The first time the world of golf was truly exposed to these trendy, comfortable pants was during the 2019 British Open, when South African Erik van Rooyen stepped out onto the Royal Portrush fairways with his ankles showing.
The cuffed joggers – which he shot an impressive 4-under 68 while wearing – immediately turned heads and got tongues wagging, in a similar way to when Englishman Tyrrell Hatton won the 2020 BMW Championship while playing in a hoodie.
It was a big moment for golf fashion.
Van Rooyen was asked a whopping six questions about his golf joggers – which were designed by Greyson Clothier – during his post-round interview, and his answer was refreshing to golfers who like to push the boundaries with what they wear on-course.
He said:
“I’ve got a few different colors. I started wearing them this year. I like the fact that it’s a little bit different yet still classy at the same time. It’s not out there and whacky with a bunch of flashy colors and that kind of thing. But it is different and I like it.”
Since then, a range of other golfers such as Rickie Fowler, multiple major-winner Rory McIlroy, Kelly Kraft and Sam Ryder, to name only a few, have been spotted rocking golf joggers during tournament play.
But are these increasingly popular pants reserved only for the PGA Tour, or can they be worn by the average weekend warrior at their local course?

Are joggers appropriate for golf?
Golf joggers are perfectly appropriate to wear on the course provided they don’t have drawstrings, which are classified as forbidden attire by most golf clubs. Find yourself a pair of joggers that can accommodate a belt, and you will have no problem wearing them on the golf course.
Keeping this important piece of information in mind, all of the golf joggers I review below enable you to wear a belt with them, meaning they can be worn on-course.
Best golf joggers in 2023
Surprisingly, it took some extensive research to track down 11 quality golf joggers that are suitable for the casual, everyday player.
Golf joggers will typically cost you anywhere between $80-$200 AUD ($60-$145 USD), which is about standard for golf pants, however I did manage to find two pairs for around $40 AUD ($30 USD).
If you don’t wish to spend that much on golf clothing, for $150 you’re over halfway to buying yourself a brand-new TaylorMade M2, which, as I explained in another article, is the best budget driver on the market for under $300.
But if you’re reading this article, I assume golf joggers are what you’re here for – and below I’ve compiled a list of the 11 best golf joggers on the market today that will make you the trendiest-looking player on the course.
Adidas Men’s Pant Jogger
Want to rock the same brand of golf attire as 2020 Masters winner Dustin Johnson? If yes, then the Adidas Men’s Pant Jogger might be for you.
While ‘DJ’ wears standard golf pants, often without cuffed ankles, during tournament play, the jogger version from Adidas is equally as trendy, comfortable and playable – and Johnson does wear them during range sessions when practicing.
This style of jogger is fashioned from nylon and polyester to form a unique-blended yarn that creates a cooling effect against the skin – perfect for those summer rounds – and also prevents friction.
The design also incorporates elastane, giving the fabric great four-way stretch for comfort and mobility.

Rhone Men’s Commuter Flexknit Jogger Pant
If comfort, flexibility and style is what you’re looking for (and let’s be honest, we’re all looking for that) then you can’t go past the Rhone Men’s Commuter Flexknit Jogger Pants.
While they don’t carry the big-name reputation of Puma or Adidas, these ultra-soft joggers are still an excellent option for golfers who like stretchy fabric that feels good, and looks good.
The Rhone joggers are made from premium flexknit material which gives a professional look, without sacrificing comfort – you can swing freely with zero limitations.
They come with two pockets and, most importantly, a belt loop meaning you’ll have no problem meeting even the most stringent golf club dress codes.
One of the cool features of the Rhone design are the zipped, cuffed ankles – meaning you can adjust accordingly depending on whether you like a tighter or looser fit.

It’s a reason why one of the trendiest golfers on the planet, Rickie Fowler, is the face of the company and has been seen wearing joggers on-course in recent times.
The Puma Jackpot Jogger is designed using moisture wicking technology – meaning it’s breathable and will stay dry regardless of how much you sweat during a round – and incorporates a stretchy waistband with belt loops.
Those who have bought these pants have raved about how comfortable and unrestrictive they are, while the bio-based wicking finish helps give off a classy look.
The elastic cuffs around the ankles are what gives these pants the trademark jogger look, and complete the fitted appearance.
The Puma Jackpot Jogger comes in two colors – navy and black – and is one of the most stylish golf joggers on the market.

These joggers come equipped with belt loops (ensuring you’ll pass any strict golf course dress codes with ease), a front zip and thick, elastic cuffs to give that fitted, sleek look.
There are nine colors available – black, navy blue, cream khaki, khaki, dark khaki, light grey, army green, brown and grey green – meaning you can mix and match your on-course outfit with ease.
It’s important to note that sizes run small, with the recommendation being to buy a size bigger than you normally would if you prefer a looser fit.
If you want to look like Rickie Fowler without breaking the bank, then the Italy Morn Men’s Chino Jogger Pant is a great option.
PULI Men’s Cargo Pant Jogger
The PULI Men’s Cargo Jogger Pant is a great option if you don’t care about buying reputable, ‘big name’ golf brands and are focusing on your budget.
As one of the most affordable options on this list, this pair of joggers is made from a nylon/spandex blend meaning they’re stretchy and comfortable – qualities that you want when playing golf.
The cargo pant style has the added bonus of giving you some additional pockets in which to store tees or ball markers.
Lastly, this jogger is available in six different colors – army green, black, dark khaki, grey, navy and stone – meaning you can mix and match with any outfit.
Certainly, a great budget choice for all golfers.
Amazon Essentials Men’s Slim-Fit Jogger Pant
If you’re not keen to spend over $50 on a pair of golf joggers from the recognised industry brands – such as Puma or Adidas – then the Amazon Essential Men’s Slim-Fit Jogger Pant may well be the solution.
While it isn’t made from your typical stretchy golf pant material, the Amazon Slim-Fit Jogger Pant has received good reviews from hundreds of buyers for how comfortable they are – including some who have bought them to be worn on the golf course.
One added feature that sets this jogger apart from the others is that it includes a drawstring on the inside of the pants, meaning you can make slight adjustments to get that perfect fit – without having to tighten your belt.
This jogger, being the slim-fit version, is nicely fitted without being too tight, meaning you will look good without having any impingement in your swing.

If you’re someone who hates the feel of tight pants on the golf course, this straight-fit jogger is an affordable, simple option.
It has all the same perks as the slim-fit design – drawstring on the inside of the belt holder, and elastic ankle cuffs – with the only difference being the looser tapering of the pants.
This jogger is also only available in black, which is quite limiting.
Priced at a bargain basement level, there is absolutely no risk involved in purchasing and trying out the Amazon Essentials Men’s Straight-Fit Jogger Pant on the golf course.
Layer 8 Men’s Quick Dry Jogger
The Layer 8 Men’s Quick Dry Jogger is another super-affordable option that doesn’t skimp on quality.
Coming in at a fraction of the price of better-known brands, such as Adidas or Puma, these pants are suited for not only golf, but for running, gym and even general wear.
This jogger is made from a super soft, lightweight fabric for awesome comfort, while the 4-way stretch design doesn’t limit movement – meaning you can make a nice, full backswing without any impingement.
Like all the options on this list, they come with a belt loop so that you can meet any dress requirements.
If you’re not interested in forking out more than $50 for a set of joggers, the Layer 8 Quick Dry Jogger will be right up your alley.
Puma Men’s Pant Jogger
The Puma Men’s Pant Jogger is similar to the Puma Jackpot Jogger, with the most noticeable difference being the absence of elastic ankle cuffs – meaning they won’t hug your ankles tightly.
Instead, the Pant Jogger has shorter pant length by design, meaning your ankles will be showing to prevent an unnecessary bunching of fabric above your shoe that is seen with standard straight-cut golf pants.
As a result, this jogger looks super sleek – so much so that you could wear it to dinner and nobody would even bat an eyelid.
The Puma Pant Jogger is fashioned from drycell technology – which works to draw sweat away from your skin to keep you comfortable – and has a moisture wicking finish.
Lastly, the waistband will accommodate a belt, but is stretchy enough to allow you to turn freely through your golf swing.
The only downside is the limited color options – this style of jogger is only available in peacoat blue and quarry gray.
If you want to look as stylish as Rickie Fowler on the golf course, the Puma Pant Jogger is definitely for you – but if you prefer your joggers to hug your ankles tightly, then the Puma Jackpot Jogger mentioned earlier may be a better choice.
Adicross Warp Knit Jogger Pant
If you’re someone who doesn’t like cuffed ankles or a slim-fitting jogger, then the Adidas Adicross Warp Knit Jogger Pants could be right up your alley.
As the loosest-fitting golf jogger on this list, the Adicross Jogger is sleek, compact and narrow at the hem without being too tight and close to the skin – a good comparison are the golf pants Dustin Johnson regularly wears.
That being said, the Adicross Jogger is still soft, stretchy and uses breathable fabric to ensure you remain comfortable right throughout your entire round.

The slim fit look enables you to wear these pants away from the golf course with no issue, but what I really love is the neatly cuffed ankles and the exclusive Greyson sport waist band that can accommodate a belt – meaning you’ll adhere to most dress codes.
The fabric – which comes in the color royal blue, light blue and black – is also moisture wicking and quick dry, ensuring any sweat or morning dew evaporates quickly for maximum comfort.
